چکیده

OBJECTIVE  To determine the characteristics and prognosis of brain metastasised HER-2 positive breast cancer (BC) patients. STUDY DESIGN Descriptive study. PLACE AND DURATION OF Ankara Oncology Training Research Hospital, Turkey between 2000 2019. METHODOLOGY BC patients were analysed retrospectively 105 included in Age 18 years over, BC, with BM (brain metastases) inclusion criteria. Patients secondary malignancies, those missing data, irregular follow-up excluded from The age, type treatment, Eastern Cooperative Group Performance Status (ECOG PS) score, date, last contact date obtained hospital records. Kaplan-Meier method was used to time OS. Independent factors affecting OS determined using Cox regression model. RESULTS ECOG PS score 0-1 at had 19 months median overall survival (OS), while 2 8 (p <0.01). Median after 32 14 for one multiple BM, respectively Multivariate cox analyses revealed that progression shorter high-grade tumors compared low-grade (p= 0.048), de-novo metastasis without 0.003). Conclusion: Tumor grade (extracranial diagnosis) are independent predictive may cause earlier occurrence affect mortality Key Words: Brain metastasis, Breast cancer, positive, Metastasis.
